Description A warm-start Bst DNA polymerase large fragment with strong strand-displacement activity for rapid isothermal amplification.
Intended Use LAMP, helicase-dependent amplification, rolling-circle amplification and other isothermal DNA amplification workflows.
Principle / Technology The engineered large fragment provides 5′→3′ DNA polymerase and strand-displacement activities without 5′→3′ exonuclease activity. Activity is suppressed below 50°C and rapidly released above 50°C.
Detection Method Endpoint or real-time isothermal amplification, depending on the assay readout.
Sample Type Purified DNA and compatible crude lysates, including saliva, oral swabs and whole-blood lysates.
Performance Range / Specifications 1,600 U or 8,000 U; reported detection of 10^3 copies per reaction of lambda DNA; stable after up to 3 hours of room-temperature setup.
Sensitivity / LOD Reported detection of approximately 10^3 copies per reaction in a lambda DNA LAMP assay.
