| Product Name | >=10 U/mg Adenosine Deaminase for 265 nm Adenosine Hydrolysis Assays |
| Catalog No. | IEC-HMM-0143 |
| Description | Alta DiagnoTech adenosine deaminase is a white amorphous enzyme powder characterized for ultraviolet activity measurement. |
| Intended Use | Enzyme raw material for cycling-method homocysteine assay reagents and adenosine-deaminase activity applications. |
| Principle / Technology | Converts adenosine to inosine and ammonia; activity is determined from the change in adenosine absorbance at 265 nm. |
| Detection Method | Kinetic UV absorbance assay at 265 nm |
| Performance Range / Specifications | Specific activity >=10 U/mg; assay linear range 50-1,000 U/L. |
| Reaction Conditions / Protocol | Use 100 mM potassium phosphate at pH 7.50 and a 2 mM adenosine substrate. Mix 0.650 mL water, 0.750 mL buffer and 0.050 mL substrate, equilibrate for 3 minutes at 25 degrees C, add 0.050 mL sample and measure the absorbance-change rate from 20 to 50 seconds at 265 nm. |
| Storage Conditions | Store at -20 degrees C |
| Shelf Life | At least 1 year at -20 degrees C |
| Product Form | White amorphous powder |
| Activity / Unit Definition | One unit hydrolyzes 1 umol adenosine per minute under the stated assay conditions. |
| Molecular Weight | Approximately 40 kDa |
| pH Range / Optimal pH | Stable at pH 5.0-9.5 for 24 hours at 25 degrees C; optimum pH 7.0 |
| Appearance | White amorphous powder |
| Alias | Adenosine deaminase |
| Product Type | Adenosine deaminase enzyme raw material |
| Function / Efficacy | Deaminate adenosine to inosine and ammonia. |
| Abbreviation | ADA |
| Customization | Specifications can be customized |
| Specific Activity | >=10 U/mg |
| Isoelectric Point | 5.4 |
| Inhibitors | Not inhibited by sodium azide |
| Optimal Temperature | 50 degrees C |
| Thermal Stability | Stable below 70 degrees C for 15 minutes |
| Detection Wavelength | 265 nm |
| Linear Range | 50-1,000 U/L |
