| Product Name | Thermostable RNase H (5 U/uL) |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0488 |
| Description | A thermostable ribonuclease that specifically recognises and cuts the RNA strand of RNA:DNA hybrids while leaving the DNA strand intact, this RNase H does not degrade single or double stranded RNA or DNA. It shares the endoribonuclease character of the E. coli enzyme but remains active at far higher temperatures, with optimal activity above 65°C That thermostability supports high temperature assays where sensitivity is preserved and background from non specific hybridisation is minimised. Supplied at 5 U/uL, it retains activity after 32 days at 4°C, 16 days at 25°C and 7 days at 37°C, and carries host genomic DNA at less than 0.02 copies per U. |
| Intended Use | Specific cleavage of RNA within RNA:DNA hybrids at elevated temperature for high sensitivity assays |
| Principle / Technology | Endonucleolytic cleavage of the RNA strand in RNA:DNA hybrids with optimal activity above 65°C |
| Sample Type | RNA:DNA hybrid duplexes |
| Reaction Conditions / Protocol | Incubate the RNA:DNA hybrid with the enzyme at or above 65°C for specific RNA cleavage |
| Storage Conditions | -25 to -15°C |
| Shelf Life | 1 year |
| Key Features | Optimal activity above 65°C; leaves DNA and single or double stranded RNA intact; stable storage profile |
| Purity | Free of exonuclease, nickase and RNase residue |
