| Product Name | Trypan Blue Staining Cell Viability Assay Reagent |
| Catalog No. | CATR-HMM-0027 |
| Description | Trypan Blue is an azo, hydrophilic acidic blue dye that can penetrate the cell membranes of dead and dying cells, staining them blue. Live cells, due to the integrity of their cell membranes, exclude Trypan Blue, so the color change allows live cells (transparent and colorless) to be distinguished from dead cells. Based on this principle, this product is widely used for routine assessment of cell viability. Trypan Blue can also stain collagen and amyloid proteins. The complex formed by Trypan Blue binding to proteins emits red fluorescence. Additionally, Trypan Blue (at appropriate concentrations) is commonly used to quench autofluorescence or other fluorescent signals on the cell surface. |
| Application | This product is widely used for routine assessment of cell activity levels. |
| Applicable Instruments | Fluorescence microscope, flow cytometer |
| Storage | Store at room temperature. |
| Shelf Life | 2 years |
| Features | Cell staining can be observed using a standard optical microscope, and quantitative counting can be performed to achieve a relatively precise quantitative analysis of cell viability. |
For research use only, not for clinical use.
