Product Name T4 UvsX Recombinase (2 μg/μL)
Catalog No. IVDRM-0255
Description T4 UvsX Recombinase is derived from bacteriophage T4 and is a homolog of the RecA/Rad51 family, playing an important role in the repair of double-strand DNA breaks and the restart of replication forks. Together with other DNA-binding proteins or accessory factors, T4 UvsX Recombinase forms nucleoprotein complexes with single-stranded DNA; these complexes search for complementary regions in the target DNA and hybridize to complete the strand displacement reaction. The enzyme has no nuclease activity.
Intended Use Core recombinase raw material for isothermal amplification using recombinase polymerase amplification (RPA) technology.
Principle / Technology In RPA, T4 UvsX Recombinase (the RecA/Rad51 family recombinase) binds single-stranded DNA primers in the presence of accessory proteins/loading factors to form a nucleoprotein filament. The filament scans double-stranded target DNA for homologous sequences, invades the duplex and initiates strand exchange, enabling strand displacement and primer extension at constant temperature.
Detection Method Isothermal amplification (RPA)
Performance Range / Specifications Mainly used in isothermal recombinase polymerase amplification (RPA) technology.
