Product Name Super Bst DNA Polymerase (2,000 U/μL)
Catalog No. IVDRM-0234
Description Super Bst DNA Polymerase is derived from Thermophilic Geobacillus sp. DNA Polymerase I and genetically engineered to remove its 5'→3' exonuclease activity. The enzyme exhibits strong 5'→3' DNA polymerase activity, strand displacement activity, and dUTP tolerance, making it well suited for contamination-controlled isothermal amplification reactions such as LAMP and CPA. Compared with standard Bst Plus polymerases, this enzyme offers enhanced thermostability, which improves amplification performance. It is suitable for low-template and high-temperature LAMP reaction systems, effectively increasing detection specificity and shortening time-to-result. Its heat-resistant property also supports the development of hot-start Bst formulations for further improvement of assay specificity.
Intended Use Raw material enzyme for isothermal amplification-based molecular diagnostics, including LAMP (loop-mediated isothermal amplification) and CPA (crossing priming amplification). Particularly suited for low-template reactions, high-temperature LAMP systems, and the development of hot-start Bst formulations.
Principle / Technology Engineered DNA Polymerase I from Thermophilic Geobacillus sp. with the 5'→3' exonuclease domain removed. The enzyme polymerizes DNA with strong 5'→3' polymerase and strand displacement activities, enabling amplification at a constant temperature without thermal cycling.
Performance Range / Specifications Enhanced thermostability supports amplification of complex templates and increases reaction specificity at elevated temperatures (up to 70 °C).
Reaction Conditions / Protocol Suitable for high-temperature isothermal amplification (e.g., LAMP at up to 70 °C). Compatible with low-template reaction systems.
Storage Conditions Store at -25 °C to -15 °C.
Shelf Life 2 years
Package Specifications 20,000 U
100,000 U
200,000 U
Concentration 2,000 U/uL
Source / Origin Recombinant, genetically engineered Thermophilic Geobacillus sp. DNA Polymerase I with the 5'→3' exonuclease activity removed.
Expiration Date / Stability Stable for 2 years when stored at -25 °C to -15 °C.
Compatibility Tolerates dUTP, making it compatible with dUTP/UDG carryover contamination control systems for isothermal amplification.
Application Notes / Precautions - Recommended for LAMP, CPA, and other isothermal amplification reactions.
- The enhanced thermostability allows higher reaction temperatures, which improves specificity and facilitates amplification of complex templates.
- Suitable for low-template systems; helps shorten detection time.
- Can be used to develop hot-start Bst formulations to further improve detection specificity.
