| Product Name | RNase GG (50 U/μL) |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0169 |
| Description | RNase GG is derived from a thermophilic archaeon and obtained through recombinant expression and purification. It is an endoribonuclease that specifically recognizes and cleaves GG sites in single-stranded and double-stranded RNA, without acting on ssDNA or dsDNA. RNase GG efficiently cleaves GG sites located within secondary structures, making it especially useful for analyzing RNAs with complex folding. The enzyme is extremely thermostable, retaining activity from 37°C to 95°C with optimal activity at 60-70°C. Its activity is independent of metal ions, and it is compatible with most buffers commonly used in RNA research. |
| Intended Use | For specific cleavage of RNA at GG sites, including the analysis of RNAs with complex secondary structures. |
| Principle / Technology | RNase GG is an endoribonuclease that specifically recognizes the GG dinucleotide in RNA and cleaves between the two guanosine residues, including GG sites embedded in secondary structures. |
| Sample Type | Single-stranded or double-stranded RNA, including RNA with complex secondary structures. |
| Performance Range / Specifications | Active from 37°C to 95°C, with optimal activity at 60-70°C. One unit (U) is defined as the amount of enzyme required to completely cleave 2 pmol of a 40-nt RNA substrate containing a single G/G site within 30 min at 37°C. |
| Specificity | Specifically recognizes and cleaves GG sites in single-stranded and double-stranded RNA, including GG sites within secondary structures; does not cleave ssDNA or dsDNA. |
| Reaction Conditions / Protocol | 1× RNase GG Buffer; incubate at 60°C. |
| Storage Conditions | Store at -25°C to -15°C. |
| Shelf Life | 2 years. |
| Package Specifications | 2500 U; 12500 U |
| Product Form | Liquid (solution). |
| Concentration | 50 U/μL |
| Activity / Unit Definition | One unit (U) is defined as the amount of enzyme required to completely cleave 2 pmol of a 40-nt RNA substrate containing a single G/G site within 30 min at 37°C. |
| Source / Origin | Derived from a thermophilic archaeon; produced by recombinant expression and purification. |
| Compatibility | Activity is independent of metal ions; compatible with most buffers commonly used in RNA research. |
