| Product Name | Reverse Transcriptase V (600 U/μL, Glycerol-Free) |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0244 |
| Description | This enzyme is a new-generation reverse transcriptase obtained by genetic engineering of an RNase H-deficient M-MLV reverse transcriptase. Compared with the parental enzyme, its thermostability is greatly improved, tolerating reaction temperatures up to 60 °C, which makes it suitable for reverse transcription of RNA templates with complex secondary structures. The enzyme also shows enhanced template affinity, making it well suited for small amounts of template and low-copy genes. Its ability to synthesize full-length cDNA is improved, enabling amplification of cDNA up to 10 kb. The glycerol-free formulation can be used to prepare lyophilized products. |
| Intended Use | Raw material for IVD molecular diagnostic reagents; suitable for RT-PCR/RT-qPCR and for the preparation of lyophilized reagents. |
| Principle / Technology | Genetically engineered M-MLV (H-) reverse transcriptase lacking RNase H activity, recombinantly expressed in E. coli and purified; characterized by high synthesis capacity, good thermostability, and a long half-life. |
| Detection Method | RT-PCR / RT-qPCR |
| Sample Type | RNA templates, including RNA with complex secondary structures and low-abundance/low-copy templates (e.g., total RNA) |
| Performance Range / Specifications | Excellent thermostability: retains approximately 70% residual activity after incubation at 58 °C for 30 min Tolerates reaction temperatures up to 60 °C Synthesizes cDNA up to 10 kb Detection range in RT-qPCR: 1 pg-1 μg total RNA Suitable for RT-PCR/RT-qPCR Glycerol-free formulation, suitable for lyophilized products |
| Sensitivity / LOD | Detectable from as little as 1 pg total RNA; detection range 1 pg-1 μg |
| Specificity | No RNase H activity; enhanced template affinity for low-copy templates |
| Reaction Conditions / Protocol | Reverse transcription can be performed at elevated temperatures up to 60 °C; elevated-temperature reaction is recommended for RNA templates with complex secondary structures. |
