| Product Name | Restriction Enzyme XmnI (Recognition Site: 5'-GAANN↓NNTTC-3') |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0161 |
| Description | XmnI is a Type IIP restriction endonuclease originally derived from Xanthomonas manihotis, produced by recombinant expression in E. coli and purified for reliable performance. It recognizes and cleaves the GAANN/NNTTC sequence, generating blunt ends, and delivers its best performance and star-activity control in Cut Buffer C. XmnI is also compatible with the universal reaction buffer, making it easy to pair with other endonucleases for rapid double digestion; however, prolonged digestion should be avoided to prevent star activity. |
| Intended Use | Site-specific cleavage of DNA at GAANN/NNTTC recognition sites to generate blunt ends for molecular cloning and restriction analysis, including double digestion with other restriction enzymes. |
| Principle / Technology | Type IIP restriction endonuclease that recognizes the interrupted palindromic sequence 5'-GAANN↓NNTTC-3' and cleaves both strands to produce blunt ends. |
| Sample Type | Double-stranded DNA substrates such as λDNA. |
| Performance Range / Specifications | Concentration: 10 U/μL Generates blunt ends Optimal performance and star-activity control in Cut Buffer C Compatible with the universal reaction buffer for double digestion |
| Specificity | Specifically recognizes and cleaves 5'-GAANN↓NNTTC-3' / 3'-CTTNN↑NNAAG-5', producing blunt ends. |
| Reaction Conditions / Protocol | 1×Cut Buffer C; incubate at 37°C. Avoid prolonged digestion to prevent star activity. Heat inactivation: 80°C for 20 min. |
