| Product Name | Recombinant RNase A Solution (DNase-Free) |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0189 |
| Description | Recombinant RNase A (Ribonuclease A) is a non-specific endoribonuclease engineered from the bovine pancreas enzyme by protein engineering and produced by yeast expression followed by purification. Because it is a recombinant product, it is free of animal-derived components and contains no bacterial endotoxin associated with prokaryotic expression. Functionally, RNase A hydrolyzes the phosphodiester bond between the 5'-ribose of a nucleotide and the phosphate group attached to the 3'-ribose of an adjacent pyrimidine nucleotide. The resulting 2',3'-cyclic phosphate intermediate is further hydrolyzed to the corresponding 3'-nucleoside phosphate, so the enzyme degrades single-stranded RNA specifically at cytidine (C) and uridine (U) residues. RNase A is exceptionally stable and shows high activity against single-stranded RNA. This product is widely used to remove RNA contamination from DNA or protein samples, and it is free of endodeoxyribonuclease, exodeoxyribonuclease, and protease contamination. |
| Intended Use | Widely used for removing RNA contamination from DNA or protein samples. |
| Principle / Technology | RNase A is an endoribonuclease that hydrolyzes the phosphodiester bond between the 5'-ribose of a nucleotide and the phosphate group on the 3'-ribose of an adjacent pyrimidine nucleotide, generating a 2',3'-cyclic phosphate that is subsequently hydrolyzed to the corresponding 3'-nucleoside phosphate. It therefore degrades single-stranded RNA specifically at C and U residues. The enzyme is produced by yeast expression and purification, free of bacterial endotoxin from prokaryotic expression systems. |
