Product Name Recombinant Human Intestinal-Type Alkaline Phosphatase (ALPI), Active
Catalog No. IEC-HMM-0134
Description An active recombinant mature human intestinal alkaline phosphatase spanning residues 20-503, expressed in mammalian cells with an N-terminal 10xHis tag. The enzyme is highly purified and demonstrates strong p-nitrophenyl phosphate hydrolysis activity.
Intended Use Suitable for alkaline phosphatase activity assays, enzyme characterization, substrate hydrolysis studies, assay development, and research reagent applications.
Principle / Technology The mature human ALPI enzyme is expressed in mammalian cells, purified, and quantified through hydrolysis of p-nitrophenyl phosphate under defined alkaline conditions.
Detection Method SDS-PAGE; enzymatic activity assay; LAL assay
Sample Type Purified recombinant enzyme
Performance Range / Specifications Purity: >=95% by SDS-PAGE. One unit is the amount of enzyme required to cleave 1 nmol of p-nitrophenyl phosphate per minute at 37 C and pH 10.0. Specific activity is >8836.463 U/mg. Molecular weight: 55.2 kDa. Package sizes: 20 ug; 100 ug; 1 mg.
Sensitivity / LOD Specific activity: >8836.463 U/mg.
Specificity Enzymatic activity was demonstrated using p-nitrophenyl phosphate as the substrate.
Reaction Conditions / Protocol Measure hydrolysis of p-nitrophenyl phosphate at 37 C and pH 10.0. One unit corresponds to cleavage of 1 nmol of substrate per minute.
Components / Formulation 20 mM Tris-HCl, 0.5 M NaCl, 6% trehalose, pH 8.0
Storage Conditions Store at -20 C or -80 C upon receipt. Aliquot before repeated use and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life Typical stability is 6 months for liquid material and 12 months for lyophilized material when stored at -20 C or -80 C.
Package Specifications 20 ug; 100 ug; 1 mg
Product Form Lyophilized powder
Quality Control Purity evaluated by SDS-PAGE; endotoxin tested by LAL assay; specific activity established using a pNPP hydrolysis assay.
