Product Name Murine RNase Inhibitor, High Concentration (200 U/μL)
Catalog No. IVDRM-0197
Description Murine RNase Inhibitor (200 U/μL) is a high-concentration, recombinant form of the classic placental-type RNase inhibitor. It inactivates ribonucleases by binding non-covalently to RNase to form a stable inactive complex. Expressed and purified from E. coli in soluble form, this murine inhibitor broadly suppresses RNase A, RNase B and RNase C. Because it lacks the two oxidation-sensitive cysteines found in the human protein, it delivers superior resistance to oxidation and performs reliably in reactions sensitive to high DTT concentrations, such as qPCR. It is fully compatible with reverse transcriptases and a wide range of DNA polymerases, and is well suited to first-strand cDNA synthesis, polysome isolation, in vitro transcription and cell-free translation systems.
Intended Use For protection of RNA in first-strand cDNA synthesis, polysome isolation, in vitro transcription and in vitro cell-free translation systems.
Principle / Technology The inhibitor binds RNase non-covalently to form a complex that specifically inactivates the enzyme. It is a recombinant murine protein expressed in soluble form in E. coli; compared with the human inhibitor it lacks two oxidation-sensitive cysteine residues, giving higher antioxidant activity and better tolerance of high-DTT reactions.
Sample Type RNA samples in enzymatic reactions (cDNA synthesis, in vitro transcription, cell-free translation, polysome isolation).
Performance Range / Specifications Broad-spectrum RNase inhibition: active against RNase A, RNase B, RNase C and other RNases.
Broad reaction compatibility: retains activity from pH 5.0 to 9.0 and from 25°C to 60°C, suitable for use with thermostable reverse transcriptases at 55-60°C.
Broad downstream compatibility: does not affect the activity of SP6, T7 or T3 RNA polymerases, AMV or M-MLV reverse transcriptases, or Taq DNA polymerase.
Validated by RT-PCR and RT-qPCR for compatibility with reverse transcriptases and various DNA polymerases.
Specificity Specifically inhibits RNase A, RNase B and RNase C; no effect on SP6, T7 or T3 RNA polymerases, AMV/M-MLV reverse transcriptases, or Taq DNA polymerase.
