Product Name Lyticase (10 U/μL)
Catalog No. IVDRM-0181
Description Lyticase is a fungal cell-lysing enzyme widely used in downstream experiments that require hydrolysis of yeast cell walls, including genomics research, yeast artificial chromosome (YAC) extraction, yeast transformation, protoplast preparation, yeast cell disruption, industrial production, and yeast inactivation. This product is supplied as a solution at 10 U/μL, with a commonly used working concentration of 0.15 U/μL. The optimal working concentration should be optimized according to the specific application, yeast species, and cell amount. For yeast genomic DNA or plasmid DNA extraction, the enzyme can be used at the concentration specified in the corresponding kit.
Intended Use Hydrolysis of yeast cell walls for genomics research, yeast artificial chromosome (YAC) extraction, yeast transformation, protoplast preparation, yeast cell disruption, industrial production, and yeast inactivation.
Principle / Technology A fungal cell-lysing enzyme (β-1,3-glucanase-type lytic activity) that hydrolyzes yeast cell walls to lyse cells or generate protoplasts.
Sample Type Yeast and other fungal cells.
