Product Name Lysozyme with Optimized Buffer
Catalog No. IEC-HMM-0119
Description A lysozyme preparation supplied with an optimized buffer for bacterial cell-wall digestion. The enzyme hydrolyzes the beta-1,4 glycosidic bond between N-acetylmuramic acid and N-acetylglucosamine, promoting lysis of susceptible bacteria.
Intended Use Pretreatment and digestion of Gram-positive bacterial cell walls during DNA and RNA isolation.
Principle / Technology Enzymatic hydrolysis of peptidoglycan beta-1,4 glycosidic bonds, converting insoluble cell-wall polysaccharides into soluble fragments.
Detection Method Enzymatic bacterial cell-wall lysis.
Sample Type Gram-positive bacterial cells.
Performance Range / Specifications 200 mg lysozyme with 10 mL optimized buffer.
Specificity Most suitable for digestion of Gram-positive bacterial cell walls.
Reaction Conditions / Protocol Suspend bacterial cells in the optimized buffer, add lysozyme and incubate according to the downstream nucleic-acid isolation workflow.
Components / Formulation Lysozyme powder, 200 mg; optimized lysozyme buffer, 10 mL.
Storage Conditions Store lysozyme powder at 2-8°C and the buffer at 15-25°C.
Package Specifications 200 mg enzyme with 10 mL buffer.
Product Form Lyophilized enzyme powder with liquid buffer.
Key Features Optimized buffer included; simple and efficient bacterial pretreatment; suitable for Gram-positive cell-wall digestion.
Compatibility Bacterial genomic DNA and total RNA isolation workflows.
Application Notes / Precautions Use the recommended cell density and incubation conditions to avoid incomplete lysis or excessive sample viscosity.

For research use only, not for clinical use.
