| Description | Hot-Start Taq DNA Polymerase (5 U/μL) is a mixture of a high-affinity anti-Taq monoclonal antibody and a thermostable recombinant Taq DNA polymerase. The antibody binds Taq DNA polymerase with high affinity and continues to block its activity even after treatment at 50 °C for 30 min. The antibody is completely inactivated after 30 sec heating at the pre-denaturation temperature, releasing DNA polymerase activity, which effectively suppresses amplification caused by non-specific primer annealing. This hot-start Taq enzyme is suitable for hot-start PCR and qPCR. The thermostable recombinant DNA polymerase has high template affinity and is ideal for amplification of low-copy templates. Amplification products carry a 3'-dA overhang and can be readily cloned into T vectors. |
