| Product Name | Hot-Start J-Taq DNA Polymerase (40 U/μL) |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0102 |
| Description | Hot-Start J-Taq DNA Polymerase (40 U/μL) is an antibody-modified, hot-start mutant Taq DNA polymerase. The antibody-blocked enzyme delivers excellent amplification sensitivity and specificity. The blocking antibody is completely inactivated after 30 seconds of heating at the pre-denaturation temperature, releasing full DNA polymerase activity. This hot-start Taq effectively suppresses amplification resulting from non-specific primer annealing during reaction setup and initial heating. |
| Intended Use | Hot-start PCR amplification requiring high specificity and sensitivity; suitable for bulk formulation in molecular reagent manufacturing. |
| Principle / Technology | Antibody-based hot-start mechanism: polymerase activity is blocked by a specific antibody at low temperatures, preventing non-specific primer annealing and extension during reaction setup. Heating at the pre-denaturation temperature for 30 seconds completely inactivates the antibody and restores full polymerase activity. |
| Sample Type | DNA templates for PCR amplification. |
| Performance Range / Specifications | Concentration: 40 U/μL Blocking antibody fully inactivated after 30 sec at pre-denaturation temperature |
| Specificity | Antibody-mediated hot start effectively suppresses amplification from non-specific primer annealing, delivering high amplification specificity and sensitivity. |
| Reaction Conditions / Protocol | Include a pre-denaturation step at the standard pre-denaturation temperature for at least 30 seconds to fully inactivate the blocking antibody and release DNA polymerase activity. |
| Storage Conditions | Store at -20°C. |
| Shelf Life | 2 years when stored at -20°C. |
| Package Specifications | 400 U 4 KU 40 KU 1,000 KU |
| Concentration | 40 U/μL |
| Shipping Conditions | Shipped with ice packs. |
| Expiration Date / Stability | Stable for 2 years at -20°C. |
| Application Notes / Precautions | Ensure the initial pre-denaturation step lasts at least 30 seconds so that the blocking antibody is completely inactivated and full polymerase activity is released. |
