Product Name High-Specificity Multiplex Hot-Start Taq DNA Polymerase
Catalog No. IEC-HMM-0097
Description An antibody-modified hot-start Taq DNA polymerase system optimized for highly specific, uniform and high-yield multiplex PCR.
Intended Use Multiplex PCR; high-specificity multi-target amplification; direct amplification from compatible blood and blood-card samples.
Principle / Technology Antibody-mediated hot-start control suppresses low-temperature polymerase activity, while an optimized multiplex buffer supports efficient extension of multiple primer pairs in one reaction.
Detection Method Endpoint multiplex PCR with downstream agarose-gel or assay-specific detection.
Sample Type Purified DNA, human genomic DNA and compatible direct-amplification samples such as whole blood or blood cards.
Performance Range / Specifications 200 or 1,000 reactions at 25 µL per reaction; tested with up to 25 targets ranging from 70 to 2,790 bp; compatible with approximately 25%–75% target GC content and diverse primer melting temperatures.
Specificity Designed to reduce nonspecific amplification caused by primer mismatch and to improve target-band uniformity.
Reaction Conditions / Protocol Prepare the multiplex reaction with the supplied 2× buffer and polymerase. A 60°C universal annealing condition is suitable for many assays, while direct-amplification samples may require an extended initial denaturation step.
Components / Formulation 2× high-specificity multiplex PCR buffer and high-specificity multiplex DNA polymerase at 10 U/µL.
Storage Conditions Store at −30 to −15°C.
Package Specifications 200 reactions; 1,000 reactions.
Product Form Two-component multiplex hot-start DNA polymerase system.
Quality Control Multiplex yield, target uniformity, GC compatibility, specificity and inhibitor tolerance are evaluated.
Key Features High target specificity; uniform multi-target amplification; high product yield; broad GC and primer-Tm compatibility; direct-amplification compatibility.
Concentration DNA polymerase: 10 U/µL.
Shipping Conditions Ship at or below 0°C.
Compatibility Suitable for multi-target PCR assays using diverse primer sets and compatible purified or direct-amplification DNA samples.
Application Notes / Precautions Primer quality and concentration strongly influence multiplex balance. Optimize individual primer amounts if selected amplicons are underrepresented.
