Product Name High-Affinity RNase Inhibitor, Porcine (40 U/μL)
Catalog No. IVDRM-0279
Description High-Affinity RNase Inhibitor is a recombinant porcine RNase inhibitor expressed and purified from E. coli. It forms a non-covalent complex with RNases to inactivate them and broadly inhibits various RNases, including RNase A, RNase B and RNase C. Verified by RT-PCR and RT-qPCR, it is compatible with high-performance reverse transcriptases and various DNA polymerases. Manufactured with an ultra-clean, low nucleic acid background process, it features lower host residuals and is well suited for applications with stricter background requirements, such as pathogen detection. The NP-40-free storage buffer with very low DTT makes it especially suitable for single-cell and low-input RNA library preparation.
Intended Use Protection of RNA from RNase degradation in RT-qPCR, NGS RNA library preparation, single-cell and low-input RNA sequencing workflows, and molecular diagnostic assays such as pathogen detection.
Principle / Technology The porcine inhibitor binds RNases with high affinity through non-covalent interactions, forming an inactive complex that blocks ribonuclease activity and preserves RNA integrity during reverse transcription, amplification and library construction.
Detection Method RT-PCR, RT-qPCR, NGS RNA library preparation
Performance Range / Specifications Storage buffer free of NP-40 with very low DTT concentration, especially suitable for single-cell and low-input RNA library preparation
Ultra-clean, low nucleic acid background: E. coli DNA residual < 0.1 copies per 100 U; free of detectable exonuclease, nicking enzyme and RNase residuals
Compatible with RT-qPCR systems: no impact on the detection system at an input of 20 U per test
Compatible with NGS systems: supports high library yields with low host DNA residuals
Sensitivity / LOD E. coli genomic DNA residual < 0.1 copies/100 U
Specificity Broadly inhibits RNase A, RNase B and RNase C with high affinity. Of porcine (swine) origin, distinguishing it from the conventional murine RNase inhibitor; host genomic DNA residuals are significantly lower than those of the conventional murine version, and 8 U per test effectively inhibits 50 ng of RNase A.
Reaction Conditions / Protocol Compatible with RT-qPCR at an input of up to 20 U per test without affecting the detection system; suitable for NGS RNA library preparation.
Components / Formulation Enzyme storage buffer: 20 mM HEPES-KOH, 150 mM KCl, 8 mM DTT, 0.01% Triton X-100, 50% glycerol, pH 7.5 @ 25 °C; NP-40-free.
