Description A heat-sensitive uracil-DNA glycosylase for preventing carryover contamination in amplification workflows that use dUTP-containing products.
Intended Use Removal of dU-containing PCR aerosol contamination and uracil bases from single- or double-stranded DNA.
Principle / Technology The enzyme hydrolyzes the N-glycosidic bond of uracil in DNA, generating abasic sites that are readily cleaved during heating.
Detection Method Used as a pre-PCR contamination-control enzyme in PCR, qPCR, RT-PCR and RT-qPCR workflows.
Sample Type Single- and double-stranded DNA containing uracil.
