Product Name Fast Restriction Enzyme XcmI (Recognition Site: 5'-CCA(N)5↓(N)4TGG-3')
Catalog No. IVDRM-0097
Description Fast Restriction Enzyme XcmI is a genetically engineered recombinant restriction endonuclease that delivers precise DNA cleavage in as little as 5-15 minutes. It is ideal for the rapid digestion of plasmid DNA, PCR products, and genomic DNA. All enzymes in this fast digestion series share a single universal reaction buffer, greatly simplifying reaction setup, and exhibit generous activity redundancy, enabling effortless digestion of excess substrate or difficult templates.
Intended Use Rapid digestion of plasmid DNA, PCR products, and genomic DNA for molecular cloning workflows.
Principle / Technology A recombinant restriction endonuclease produced by genetic engineering that recognizes a specific interrupted palindromic sequence and cleaves double-stranded DNA at defined positions within minutes at 37°C.
Sample Type Plasmid DNA, PCR products, genomic DNA.
Performance Range / Specifications Concentration: 5 U/μL
Complete digestion in 5-15 minutes
High activity redundancy for excess substrate or difficult templates
Specificity Recognizes and cleaves the sequence 5'-CCA(N)5↓(N)4TGG-3' / 3'-GGT(N)4↑(N)5ACC-5'.
Reaction Conditions / Protocol Digest in 1× universal fast digestion buffer; optimal incubation at 37°C for 5-15 minutes.
Storage Conditions Store at -25°C to -15°C.
Shelf Life 2 years when stored at -25°C to -15°C.
Package Specifications 60 T
Concentration 5 U/μL
Source / Origin Recombinant enzyme produced by genetic engineering.
Expiration Date / Stability Stable for 2 years at -25°C to -15°C.
Compatibility No known isoschizomers. Shares a universal fast digestion buffer with other enzymes in the same fast digestion series, enabling convenient double or multiple digestions.
Recommended Buffer System 1× universal fast digestion buffer.
Application Notes / Precautions The shared universal buffer simplifies reaction setup when multiple enzymes of the series are used together. The enzyme provides sufficient activity redundancy to handle substrate excess or difficult templates.
Recognition Site 5'-CCA(N)5↓(N)4TGG-3'
3'-GGT(N)4↑(N)5ACC-5'
Heat Inactivation Incubate at 80°C for 20 minutes.
Methylation Sensitivity Not affected by Dam, Dcm, CpG, EcoKI, or EcoBI methylation.
