Product Name Fast Restriction Enzyme XbaI (Recognition Site: T/CTAGA)
Catalog No. IVDRM-0094
Description This fast restriction enzyme is a recombinant enzyme produced through genetic engineering. It precisely cleaves DNA within 5-15 minutes and is ideal for rapid digestion of plasmid DNA, PCR products, and genomic DNA. All enzymes in this fast digestion series share a single universal buffer, which greatly simplifies reaction setup. In addition, the enzyme offers ample activity redundancy, making it easy to digest excess substrate or difficult templates.
Intended Use For rapid digestion of plasmid DNA, PCR products, and genomic DNA in molecular cloning and related molecular biology workflows.
Principle / Technology Recombinant type II restriction endonuclease produced by genetic engineering. It recognizes a specific double-stranded DNA sequence and completes precise cleavage within 5-15 minutes.
Sample Type Plasmid DNA, PCR products, genomic DNA
Performance Range / Specifications Recognition site: 5'-T↓CTAGA-3' / 3'-AGATC↑T-5'
Enzyme activity: 20 U/μL
Recommended reaction conditions: 1× universal fast digestion buffer; optimal incubation at 37°C
Heat inactivation: 80°C for 20 min
Isoschizomer: TthHB8I
Methylation sensitivity: Dam methylation (overlapping sequence) blocks cleavage
Specificity Specifically recognizes and cleaves the sequence 5'-T↓CTAGA-3'. Cleavage is blocked when the site overlaps with Dam methylation.
Reaction Conditions / Protocol 1× universal fast digestion buffer; optimal incubation at 37°C for 5-15 minutes.
Storage Conditions Store at -25 to -15°C.
Shelf Life 2 years when stored at -25 to -15°C.
Package Specifications 500 T
Concentration 20 U/μL
Activity / Unit Definition 20 U/μL
Source / Origin Recombinant enzyme produced by genetic engineering.
Expiration Date / Stability Valid for 2 years when stored at -25 to -15°C.
Compatibility Isoschizomer: TthHB8I
Recommended Buffer System 1× universal fast digestion buffer (shared by all enzymes in the fast restriction enzyme series, simplifying reaction setup).
Application Notes / Precautions The enzyme has high activity redundancy, allowing easy digestion of excess substrate or difficult templates. Note that cleavage is blocked when the recognition site overlaps with Dam methylation.
Recognition Site 5'-T↓CTAGA-3'
3'-AGATC↑T-5'
Heat Inactivation Incubate at 80°C for 20 min.
Methylation Sensitivity Dam: the sequence may overlap, blocking cleavage.
