Product Name Fast Restriction Enzyme PmeI (Recognition Site: 5'-GTTT↓AAAC-3')
Catalog No. IVDRM-0071
Description A genetically engineered, recombinant fast restriction enzyme that completes precise DNA digestion within 5–15 minutes, suitable for rapid cleavage of plasmid DNA, PCR products and genomic DNA. All fast restriction enzymes in this series share a single universal digestion buffer, greatly simplifying reaction setup. The enzyme also offers a generous activity margin, allowing it to handle excess substrate or difficult templates with ease.
Intended Use For rapid digestion of plasmid DNA, PCR products and genomic DNA in molecular cloning workflows. For research use.
Principle / Technology Recombinant type II restriction endonuclease produced by genetic engineering; it recognizes a specific double-stranded DNA sequence and cleaves it rapidly (within 5–15 minutes) in a universal fast digestion buffer.
Sample Type Plasmid DNA, PCR products, genomic DNA
Performance Range / Specifications Completes precise DNA digestion within 5–15 minutes
High activity margin; easily handles excess substrate or difficult templates
Enzyme activity: 20 U/μL
Optimal incubation at 37°C
Specificity Recognizes and cleaves 5'-GTTT↓AAAC-3' / 3'-CAAA↑TTTG-5'. CpG methylation inhibits cleavage.
Reaction Conditions / Protocol 1× universal fast digestion buffer; incubate at 37°C (optimal temperature). Digestion is typically complete within 5–15 minutes.
Storage Conditions Store at -25°C to -15°C.
Shelf Life Stable for 2 years when stored as recommended.
Package Specifications 50 T
Concentration 20 U/μL
Source / Origin Recombinant enzyme produced by genetic engineering
Expiration Date / Stability Stable for 2 years when stored at -25°C to -15°C.
Recommended Buffer System All fast restriction enzymes in the series share one universal fast digestion buffer, so single, double and multiple digests can be performed in the same reaction system.
Application Notes / Precautions Heat inactivate at 80°C for 20 min when enzyme removal is required. CpG methylation inhibits cleavage.
Recognition Site 5'-GTTT↓AAAC-3'
3'-CAAA↑TTTG-5'
Heat Inactivation Incubate at 80°C for 20 min.
Methylation Sensitivity CpG: cleavage is inhibited
