Product Name Cystathionine Beta Lyase CBL Enzyme for Homocysteine Cystathionine Method Assay >=90% Purity CAS 18534-66-2
Catalog No. IEC-HMM-0172
Description Cystathionine beta lyase (CBL) is a lyase enzyme that catalyzes the alpha,gamma-elimination of cystathionine to produce homocysteine, pyruvate, and ammonia. This enzymatic activity forms the basis of the cystathionine method for homocysteine quantification, an alternative approach to the enzymatic cycling method. In this assay format, CBL generates homocysteine from cystathionine, which is then measured through downstream detection reactions. Alta DiagnoTech supplies CBL with consistent purity and activity for reliable assay kit manufacturing.
Intended Use Raw material for cystathionine-method homocysteine HCL assay kits.
