| Product Name | Creatine Kinase (2 μg/μL) |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0277 |
| Description | Creatine kinase (CK) is an important kinase mainly present in the cytoplasm and mitochondria, directly involved in intracellular energy transfer, muscle contraction and ATP regeneration. It primarily catalyzes the conversion of adenosine diphosphate (ADP) and phosphocreatine into ATP and creatine, playing a crucial role in the rapid regeneration of ATP in cells with high energy demands. In recombinase polymerase amplification (RPA), ATP generated by creatine kinase is hydrolyzed to supply energy, altering the conformation of the complex formed between the recombinase (T4 UvsX) and the primer so that the recombinase dissociates and exposes the 3' end of the primer, thereby allowing the strand-displacing Bsu DNA polymerase to bind the primer and initiate DNA amplification. |
| Intended Use | Energy-regenerating component of the creatine phosphate/ATP regeneration system in recombinase polymerase amplification (RPA) and other isothermal amplification workflows; also used as a component of translation buffers and energy regeneration mixtures in in vitro translation assays. |
| Principle / Technology | Creatine kinase catalyzes the reversible transfer of a phosphate group from phosphocreatine to ADP, regenerating ATP. In RPA, hydrolysis of the regenerated ATP provides the energy that drives conformational change and dissociation of the T4 UvsX recombinase-primer complex, exposing the primer 3' end for loading of the strand-displacing Bsu DNA polymerase and initiation of DNA amplification. |
