| Product Name | C133P3 Anti-Taq DNA Polymerase Antibody (Glycerol-Free) |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0262 |
| Description | C133P3 is a monoclonal antibody against Taq DNA polymerase developed for hot-start PCR. When bound to Taq DNA polymerase, it inhibits DNA polymerase activity at low temperatures, effectively preventing non-specific primer annealing and primer-dimer-driven non-specific amplification under low-temperature conditions. The antibody denatures during the initial DNA denaturation step of PCR, restoring polymerase activity to achieve a hot-start effect. No special antibody inactivation step is required, and the antibody can be used under conventional PCR conditions. The storage buffer contains no glycerol, making the product suitable for formulating lyophilized reaction systems and for lyophilized product design. |
| Intended Use | Hot-start PCR and qPCR reagent development; suppression of non-specific amplification and primer-dimer formation; formulation of lyophilized PCR systems. |
| Principle / Technology | Antibody-mediated hot start. The monoclonal antibody binds Taq DNA polymerase with high affinity and blocks its polymerase activity at low temperatures, preventing extension from mis-primed sites and primer dimers. During the initial denaturation step of PCR the antibody is heat-denatured and dissociates, releasing active DNA polymerase so amplification can proceed. Taq activity is fully released after 30 sec at 95 °C. |
| Performance Range / Specifications | High affinity for Taq DNA polymerase, effectively avoiding non-specific PCR amplification Fast hot start: Taq activity is activated within 30 sec at 95 °C Free of nuclease contamination: no exonuclease, endonuclease or RNase activity Glycerol-free storage solution, suitable for lyophilized reaction systems and product design Activity blocking efficiency > 90% |
| Reaction Conditions / Protocol | Recommended usage: 1 uL of antibody blocks 20-50 U of Taq DNA polymerase activity; mix at room temperature for 20 min before use; hot start is achieved with 30 sec at 95 °C during the initial denaturation step. |
| Storage Conditions | Store at -25 to -15 °C. For short-term use (within 2 months), the product may be kept at 2-8 °C. |
| Shelf Life | 2 years at -25 to -15 °C |
| Package Specifications | 100 ug; 1 mg; 5 mg; 10 mg; 100 mg |
| Product Form | Liquid, glycerol-free |
| Quality Control | Tested free of exonuclease, endonuclease and RNase contamination; activity blocking efficiency > 90% |
| Concentration | 5 mg/mL |
| Compatibility | Compatible with conventional PCR and qPCR reaction conditions; suitable for lyophilized reaction systems |
| Application Notes / Precautions | No separate antibody inactivation treatment is required; the antibody is denatured during the standard initial denaturation step of PCR |
For research use only, not for clinical use.
