Product Name Bst Plus DNA Polymerase (40 U/μL)
Catalog No. IVDRM-0235
Description Bst Plus DNA Polymerase is derived from Thermophilic Geobacillus sp. DNA Polymerase I and genetically engineered to remove its 5'→3' exonuclease activity. The enzyme possesses strong 5'→3' DNA polymerase activity, strand displacement activity, and dUTP tolerance, making it ideal for contamination-controlled isothermal amplification reactions such as LAMP and CPA.
Intended Use Raw material enzyme for isothermal amplification-based molecular diagnostics, including LAMP, CPA, and RCA (rolling circle amplification).
Principle / Technology Engineered DNA Polymerase I from Thermophilic Geobacillus sp. lacking 5'→3' exonuclease activity. Strong 5'→3' polymerase and strand displacement activities enable DNA amplification at a constant temperature.
Performance Range / Specifications - Suitable for multiple isothermal amplification methods, including LAMP, CPA, and RCA.
- Supplied in a stabilized storage buffer (see Components / Formulation).
- Heat inactivation: 85 °C for 5 min.
Reaction Conditions / Protocol Unit activity is defined at 65 °C. Heat inactivate at 85 °C for 5 min after the reaction if required.
Components / Formulation Enzyme storage buffer: 10 mM Tris-HCl, 50 mM KCl, 0.1 mM EDTA, 1 mM DTT, 0.1% Triton X-100, 50% glycerol, pH 7.5 @ 25 °C.
Storage Conditions Store at -25 °C to -15 °C.
Shelf Life 2 years
Package Specifications 8,000 U
40,000 U
Product Form Liquid in storage buffer containing 50% glycerol
Concentration 40 U/uL
Activity / Unit Definition One unit (1 U) is defined as the amount of enzyme that incorporates 10 nmol of dNTPs into acid-insoluble material in 30 min at 65 °C.
Source / Origin Recombinant, genetically engineered Thermophilic Geobacillus sp. DNA Polymerase I with the 5'→3' exonuclease activity removed.
Expiration Date / Stability Stable for 2 years when stored at -25 °C to -15 °C.
Compatibility Tolerates dUTP, making it compatible with dUTP/UDG carryover contamination control systems for isothermal amplification.
Application Notes / Precautions - Recommended for LAMP, CPA, RCA, and other isothermal amplification reactions.
- The strand displacement activity eliminates the need for thermal cycling.
- dUTP tolerance allows incorporation of carryover contamination control strategies.
Heat Inactivation 85 °C, 5 min
