| Product Name | >=150 U/mg Glucose-6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase for 340 nm NADH Assays |
| Catalog No. | IEC-HMM-0197 |
| Description | Alta DiagnoTech glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase is a gray-white amorphous enzyme powder for glucose/hexokinase and creatine-kinase biochemical reagent development. |
| Intended Use | Enzyme raw material for glucose/hexokinase and creatine-kinase biochemical assay reagents. |
| Detection Method | Kinetic absorbance measurement of NADH formation at 340 nm |
| Performance Range / Specifications | Specific activity >=150 U/mg; recommended assay range 60-200 U/L. |
| Reaction Conditions / Protocol | Use 50 mM Tris-HCl at pH 7.8 containing 3.3 mM MgCl2, 60 mM NAD+ and 0.1 M glucose-6-phosphate. Combine 2.7 mL buffer, 0.1 mL NAD+ and 0.1 mL substrate, preincubate for 300 seconds at 30 degrees C, add 0.1 mL enzyme sample and determine the absorbance-change rate between minutes 4 and 5 at 340 nm. Dilute samples in 50 mM Tris-HCl at pH 7.5 with 0.1% BSA. |
| Storage Conditions | Store at -20 degrees C |
| Shelf Life | At least 1 year at -20 degrees C |
