Description Alta DiagnoTech catalase is a light-green to brown-green amorphous lyophilized enzyme powder that decomposes hydrogen peroxide to water and oxygen.
Intended Use Removal of hydrogen peroxide from biochemical reaction systems, including creatinine-related reagent workflows.
Principle / Technology Hydrogen peroxide consumption is measured spectrophotometrically at 240 nm.

Performance Range / Specifications Specific activity >=13,000 U/mg dry powder; protein purity >=90%; peroxidase contamination <=0.02%; solution pH 7.0-8.0 when dissolved at 10 mg/mL in deionized water; 150 IU completely removes 3% hydrogen peroxide within 10 minutes.
