| Product Name | 1 U/µL Heat-Labile UDG for Low-Temperature PCR Carryover Control |
| Catalog No. | IEC-HMM-0211 |
| Description | Alta DiagnoTech heat-labile uracil-DNA glycosylase removes uracil from single- or double-stranded DNA while remaining inactive toward RNA. |
| Intended Use | For dUTP-based carryover contamination control in PCR, qPCR, RT-PCR, RT-qPCR and RT-LAMP. |
| Principle / Technology | The enzyme hydrolyzes the N-glycosidic bond between uracil and the DNA sugar-phosphate backbone, producing abasic sites that are readily cleaved. It has no activity on RNA. |
| Performance Range / Specifications | Completely inactivated above 50°C. |
| Storage Conditions | Store at -30°C to -15°C. |
| Package Specifications | Available in 100 U and 500 U formats. |
| Product Form | Liquid enzyme |
| Concentration | 1 U/µL |
| Source / Origin | Psychrophilic marine bacterium |
| Shipping Conditions | Ship at 0°C or below. |
| Compatibility | Active in most PCR systems; verify compatibility when introducing it into a new formulation. |
| Application Notes / Precautions | Keep cold during use and wear a lab coat during handling. |
| Alias | Heat-labile uracil-DNA glycosylase |
| Product Type | Heat-labile uracil-DNA glycosylase |
| Function / Efficacy | Removes dU-containing carryover DNA before amplification. |
