Product Name Universal TaqMan Multiplex qPCR Master Mix (UDG Plus)
Catalog No. RESK-0085
Description This product is a 2x premixed reagent that enables up to four-plex fluorescence quantitative PCR in a single reaction well. It contains a genetically engineered, antibody-based hot-start Taq DNA polymerase that greatly improves amplification sensitivity and specificity, and its multiplex reaction buffer system has been deeply optimized to increase amplification efficiency and promote efficient amplification of low-concentration templates. The incorporated uracil-DNA glycosylase (UDG) effectively eliminates the risk of aerosol-borne carryover contamination. It is suitable for genotyping and multiplex gene quantification analysis.
Intended Use For probe-based multiplex real-time quantitative PCR applications, including genotyping and multiplex gene quantification, where carryover contamination control is required. Suitable as a raw material for molecular diagnostic assay development and research use.
Principle / Technology TaqMan probe-based real-time quantitative PCR using a genetically engineered antibody-mediated hot-start Taq DNA polymerase, combined with a UDG-based anti-contamination system that degrades uracil-containing carryover amplicons before amplification.
Detection Method Fluorescence-based real-time quantitative PCR (TaqMan hydrolysis probe detection).
Sample Type DNA templates, including inhibitor-containing crude samples. Tolerates whole blood at up to 5% of the reaction volume.
Performance Range / Specifications Up to 4-plex amplification in a single reaction well
Strong tolerance to blood impurities - compatible with samples containing up to 5% blood
Anti-contamination system - UDG effectively prevents aerosol-borne carryover contamination
Excellent storage stability - consistent performance over 24 months
Broad platform compatibility - validated on mainstream real-time PCR instruments
Specificity The genetically engineered antibody-based hot-start Taq DNA polymerase suppresses non-specific amplification, while the UDG system eliminates carryover amplicons to reduce false positives.
Reaction Conditions / Protocol A UDG digestion step is performed before thermal cycling to degrade uracil-containing carryover products; followed by hot-start activation and standard qPCR cycling.
Components / Formulation 2x master mix containing a genetically engineered antibody-based hot-start Taq DNA polymerase and uracil-DNA glycosylase (UDG) in an optimized multiplex reaction buffer.
Storage Conditions Store at -25 to -15°C.
Shelf Life 2 years when stored at -25 to -15°C.

Product Form Liquid, 2x concentrated premixed master mix.
Quality Control UDG digestion efficiency is verified by amplification of uracil-containing templates (e.g., a uracil-containing plasmid at 1.4 copies/uL), confirming complete digestion of carryover templates compared with a non-UDG control formulation.
Expiration Date / Stability Stable for 24 months at -25 to -15°C with consistent performance.
Compatibility Compatible with mainstream real-time PCR instruments, across mainstream platforms. Suitable for multiplex probe-based qPCR assays.
Recommended Buffer System The 2x master mix contains a fully optimized multiplex reaction buffer; no additional buffer is required. Use with dUTP-containing nucleotide formulations to enable UDG carryover control.
Application Notes / Precautions The UDG anti-contamination system requires uracil-containing amplicons to be effective; it does not protect against contamination by natural (thymine-containing) template DNA.
Avoid prolonged exposure of the reaction mixture to elevated temperatures before the UDG digestion step is completed.
