| Product Name | Mycoplasma PCR Detection Kit (Inhibitor-Tolerant) |
| Catalog No. | RESK-0193 |
| Description | The Mycoplasma PCR Detection Kit (Inhibitor-Tolerant) is designed for the detection of mycoplasma in a wide range of biological products, such as cell products, animal serum and culture media. The kit uses multiple primer pairs to specifically amplify conserved regions of the mycoplasma genome by PCR, enabling accurate detection of mycoplasma. Studies show that the most frequently occurring species in mycoplasma contamination of cell cultures are M. orale, M. arginini, M. hyorhinis, A. laidlawii, M. fermentans, M. pneumoniae and M. salivarium. This kit detects more than 60 mycoplasma species, including these 7 common species. The kit offers strong specificity, high sensitivity and simple operation. Compared with conventional PCR-based mycoplasma detection kits, it is more tolerant to interfering substances in samples, effectively avoiding weak-positive and false-negative results and greatly improving the mycoplasma detection rate. The detection limit is as low as 5 copies. |
| Intended Use | Detection of mycoplasma contamination in various biological products, including cell products, animal serum and culture media. |
| Principle / Technology | Endpoint PCR using multiple primer pairs that specifically amplify conserved regions of the mycoplasma genome. |
| Detection Method | PCR amplification of conserved mycoplasma genomic regions. |
| Sample Type | Cell products, animal serum, culture media and other biological products. |
| Performance Range / Specifications | Detects more than 60 mycoplasma species, including the 7 species most common in cell culture contamination: M. orale, M. arginini, M. hyorhinis, A. laidlawii, M. fermentans, M. pneumoniae and M. salivarium. Stronger tolerance to interfering substances in samples than conventional PCR-based mycoplasma detection kits, effectively avoiding weak-positive and false-negative results and greatly improving the detection rate. |
| Sensitivity / LOD | Detection limit as low as 5 copies. |
