| Principle / Technology | Glucose oxidase converts glucose with oxygen and water to gluconic acid and hydrogen peroxide. Peroxidase then drives oxidative coupling of 4-aminoantipyrine and sodium p-hydroxybenzoate to a red quinone compound; absorbance at 500 nm is proportional to glucose concentration. |
