| Product Name | Enzymatic Glycated-Albumin and BCG Albumin Dual Assay Reagent |
| Catalog No. | BSTR-0020 |
| Description | Alta DiagnoTech glycated-albumin reagent combines an enzymatic GA assay with bromocresol-green albumin measurement to calculate the GA percentage. |
| Intended Use | For in vitro quantitative measurement of glycated albumin and albumin in human serum, followed by calculation of glycated albumin as a percentage of albumin. |
| Principle / Technology | A selective protease releases glycated amino acids from glycated albumin. A glycated-amino-acid oxidase reaction generates hydrogen peroxide, which forms a red quinoneimine through a peroxidase-coupled color reaction. Albumin is measured separately by binding to bromocresol green at pH 4.2, and the GA percentage is calculated from the two concentrations. |
| Detection Method | Enzymatic glycated-albumin assay with bromocresol-green albumin measurement |
| Sample Type | Human serum |
| Storage Conditions | Store unopened and protected from light at 2-8°C for up to 12 months. After opening, store protected from light at 2-8°C and use within 1 month if uncontaminated. Do not freeze. |
| Shelf Life | 12 months unopened; 1 month after opening when stored uncontaminated at 2-8°C. |
| Package Specifications | Available in 80 mL, 1,000 mL and 5 L formats. |
| Safety | The reagent contains a preservative. Avoid contact with skin and mucous membranes; rinse exposed areas with water and seek medical attention if needed. Dispose of waste according to applicable local requirements. |
