| Product Name | Rat Thrombopoietin (TPO) ELISA Kit |
| Catalog No. | PAK-HMM-0031 |
| Description | Thrombopoietin (TPO), also known as megakaryocyte growth and development factor (MGDF), is a protein encoded by the TPO gene. Thrombopoietin is a glycoprotein hormone produced by the liver and kidney that regulates platelet production. It stimulates the production and differentiation of megakaryocytes, which are bone marrow cells that can sprout large numbers of platelets. Megakaryopoiesis is the cellular developmental process that leads to platelet production. The protein encoded by this gene is a humoral growth factor required for the proliferation and maturation of megakaryocytes and for thrombosis. This protein is a ligand for MLP/C_MPL, a product of the myeloproliferative leukemia viral oncogene. |

| Detection Principle | The kit is based on double antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). To the microtiter wells pre-coated with rat thrombopoietin (TPO) capture antibody, the sample, standard, biotin labeled detection antibody, HRP enzyme conjugate are added sequentially, and then incubated and washed, and then the substrate TMB is used to develop the color, which is converted to blue by peroxidase (HRP), and then converted to the yellow color under the effect of acid. There is a positive correlation between the color and the amount of rat thrombopoietin (TPO) in the sample. The absorbance (OD) is measured at 450nm by an enzyme marker and the concentration of the sample is calculated. |
