Product Name Human Platelet Derived Growth Factor C (PDGF-C) ELISA Kit
Catalog No. PAK-HMM-0024
Description Platelet-derived growth factor C (PDGF-C) is a 345 amino acid protein encoded by the PDGFC gene. Platelet-derived growth factor is important for connective tissue growth, survival, and function, and consists of a disulfide bond involving two polypeptide chains, PDGF-A and PDGF-B.PDGF-C is a member of the PDGF/VEGF family with a unique two-domain structure and expression pattern.PDGF-C has not been previously recognized along with PDGF-A and PDGF-B, possibly because it is synthesized and secreted as a latent growth factor that requires removal of the N-terminal CUB structural domain by protein hydrolysis for receptor binding and activation.
Test Species Human
Synonyms PDGFC; SCDGF; VEGF-E; Fallotein; Spinal cord-derived growth factor; Platelet-derived growth factor C, latent form; Platelet-derived growth factor C, receptor-binding form
Applications The kit detects human PDGF-C in samples without significant cross-reactivity with its analogs.
Sample Type Plasma
Detection Methods Sandwich ELISA
Sensitivity 0.25 ng/mL
Detection Range 0.46-30 ng/mL
Accuracy The intraplate coefficient of variation is less than 10% and the interplate coefficient of variation is less than 10%.
Storage 2-8°C
Shelf Life 6 months
Detection Principle The kit is based on enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) using double antibody sandwich method. To the microtiter wells pre-coated with human platelet-derived growth factor C (PDGF-C) capture antibody, the sample, standard, biotin-labeled detection antibody, HRP enzyme conjugate are added sequentially, with warming and washing in between, and then the color is developed with the substrate TMB, which is converted to blue color catalyzed by the peroxidase enzyme (HRP), and then converted to the final yellow color under the action of acid. The shade of color is positively correlated with human platelet-derived growth factor C (PDGF-C) in the sample. The absorbance (OD value) is measured at 450nm with an enzyme marker to calculate the concentration of the sample.
