Product Name Rat Platelet Membrane Glycoprotein IV (GP-Ⅳ) ELISA Kit
Catalog No. PAK-HMM-0033
Description Platelet membrane glycoprotein IV (GP-IV) is a glycoprotein receptor for collagen that is expressed in platelets. It is a component of receptors for collagen, thrombin, vascular pseudohaemophilic factor, fibrinogen, and adenosine diphosphate, and is involved in platelet adhesion, aggregation, and activation reactions, which are the initiating link between physiological hemostasis and pathological thrombosis. Research has shown that the occurrence of ischemic cerebrovascular disease is related to the hypercoagulable state of blood. As a key effector molecule mediating platelet function, its expression level significantly affects the function and activation state of platelets and plays a key role in hemostasis. It has been shown to interact with LYN.
Test Species Rat
Synonyms GP4; FAT; GP3B; GPIV; PASIV; SCARB3; GP88; GpIIIb; Glycoprotein IIIb; Collagen Type I Receptor; Thrombospondin Receptor; Fatty acid translocase
Applications The kit detects GP-IV in rat samples without significant cross-reactivity with its analogs.
Sample Type Tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids.
Detection Methods Sandwich ELISA
Sensitivity 0.42 ng/mL
Detection Range 1.56-100 ng/mL
Accuracy The intraplate coefficient of variation is less than 10% and the interplate coefficient of variation is less than 10%.
Storage 2-8°C
Shelf Life 6 months
Detection Principle The kit is based on double antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). To the microtiter wells pre-coated with rat platelet glycoprotein IV (GP-IV) capture antibody, add the sample, standard, biotin-labeled detection antibody, HRP enzyme conjugate, and then after incubation and washing, develop the color with the substrate TMB, which is catalyzed by HRP to turn into blue, and then converted to yellow under the action of acid. The color correlates positively with rat platelet glycoprotein IV (GP-IV) in the sample. The concentration of the sample is calculated by measuring the absorbance (OD) at 450 nm with an enzyme counter.
