Description Platelet factor 4 (PF4), a specific protein synthesized from platelet alpha granules, is a tetramer of basic polypeptides that readily binds and neutralizes heparin. PF4 is a basic peptide tetramer that binds and neutralizes heparin, and easily binds to acetylheparin sulfate on the surface of vascular endothelial cells to slow down the process of thrombin inactivation, thus promoting thrombus formation. It is a small cytokine belonging to the CXC chemokine family, also known as chemokine ligand 4. During platelet aggregation, this chemokine is released from the alpha granules of activated platelets and promotes blood coagulation by modulating the action of heparin-like molecules.

Detection Principle This kit is a double antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). To the microtiter wells pre-coated with rabbit platelet factor 4 (PF-4,CXCL4) capture antibody, the sample, standard, biotin-labeled detection antibody and HRP enzyme conjugate are added sequentially, and then incubated and washed, and then the substrate TMB is used to develop the color, which is converted into blue color catalyzed by HRP, and then converted into yellow color under the effect of acid. The color shade is positively correlated with rabbit platelet factor 4 (PF-4, CXCL4) in the sample. The absorbance (OD value) is measured at 450nm using an enzyme marker to calculate the concentration of the sample.
