| Description | Platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule 1 (PECAM1; CD31) is a protein normally found in endothelial cells, platelets, macrophages and Kupffer cells, granulocytes, lymphocytes (T, B, and NK cells), megakaryocytes, and osteoblasts. The encoded protein is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and may be involved in leukocyte migration, angiogenesis and integrin activation. PECAM1;CD31 on endothelial cells binds to the CD38 receptor on natural killer cells, causing these cells to attach to the endothelium. It plays a key role in the removal of aging neutrophils from the body. |

| Detection Principle | The kit is based on enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) using double-antibody sandwich method. To the microtiter wells pre-coated with human platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule 1 (PECAM1; CD31) capture antibody, add the sample, standard, biotin-labeled detection antibody, HRP enzyme conjugate sequentially, after warming and washing, and then develop the color with the substrate TMB, which is catalyzed by peroxidase (HRP) to blue, and then converted to the final yellow color under the action of acid. The color shade is positively correlated with human platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule 1 (PECAM1; CD31) in the samples. The absorbance (OD value) is measured at 450 nm with an enzyme marker to calculate the sample concentration. |
