Product Name Rat Platelet Factor 4 (PF-4) ELISA Kit
Catalog No. PAK-HMM-0032
Description Platelet factor 4 (PF4) is a specific protein synthesized from platelet alpha granules and is a tetramer of basic polypeptides. PF4 is a basic peptide tetramer that readily binds to and neutralizes heparin, and easily binds to acetylheparin sulfate on the surface of vascular endothelial cells to slow down the process of thrombin inactivation, thus promoting thrombus formation. It is a small cytokine belonging to the CXC chemokine family, also known as chemokine ligand 4.
Test Species Rat
Synonyms CXCL4; SCYB4; Chemokine C-X-C-Motif Ligand 4; Oncostatin-A; Iroplact
Applications The kit detects PF-4 in rat samples without significant cross-reactivity with its analogs.
Sample Type Serum, plasma and cell culture supernatants.
Detection Methods Sandwich ELISA
Sensitivity 0.17 ng/mL
Detection Range 0.312-20 ng/mL
Accuracy The intraplate coefficient of variation is less than 10% and the interplate coefficient of variation is less than 10%.
Storage 2-8°C
Shelf Life 6 months
Detection Principle The kit is based on double antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). To the microtiter wells pre-coated with rat platelet factor IV (PF-4) capture antibody, the sample, standard, biotin-labeled detection antibody and HRP enzyme conjugate are added sequentially, and then incubated and washed, and then the substrate TMB is used to develop the color, which is converted to blue by HRP and then converted to the final yellow color under the action of acid. There is a positive correlation between the color and rat platelet factor IV (PF-4) in the samples. Absorbance (OD) is measured at 450nm using an enzyme meter and the concentration of the sample is calculated.
