| Description | Platelet-derived growth factor B (PDGF-B) is a protein that is encoded by the PDGF-B gene. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the platelet-derived growth factor family. Four members of this family are mitogenic factors of mesenchymal stromal cells and are characterized by a pattern of eight cysteines. The gene product can exist as a homodimer (PDGF-BB) or as a heterodimer with the platelet-derived growth factor alpha (PDGFA) polypeptide (PDGF-AB), where the dimers are linked by disulfide bonds. |

| Detection Principle | The kit is based on double antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). To the microtiter wells pre-coated with rat platelet-derived growth factor B (PDGF-B) capture antibody, the sample, standard, biotin-labeled detection antibody and HRP enzyme conjugate are added sequentially, and then incubated and washed, and then the substrate TMB is used to develop the color, which is converted to blue color by HRP, and then converted to yellow color by the action of acid. The color is positively correlated with the presence of rat platelet-derived growth factor B (PDGF-B) in the sample. The absorbance (OD) is measured at 450 nm by an enzyme meter to calculate the concentration of the sample. |
