| Description | Platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule 1 (PECAM1) is a protein normally found in endothelial cells, platelets, macrophages and Kupffer cells, granulocytes, lymphocytes (T, B, and NK cells), megakaryocytes, and osteoblasts. The encoded protein is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and may be involved in leukocyte migration, angiogenesis and integrin activation. PECAM1 on endothelial cells binds to the CD38 receptor on natural killer cells, causing these cells to attach to the endothelium. It plays a key role in the removal of aging neutrophils from the body. |

| Detection Principle | The kit is based on double antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). To the microtiter wells pre-coated with mouse platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule 1 (PECAM1) capture antibody, add the sample, standard, biotin-labeled detection antibody and HRP enzyme conjugate sequentially, and then incubate and wash, and then develop the color of substrate TMB, which will be converted into blue color catalyzed by HRP, and then converted into yellow color under the effect of acid. There is a positive correlation between the color and the presence of mouse platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule 1 (PECAM1) in the samples. Absorbance (OD) is measured at 450nm using an enzyme meter to calculate the concentration of the sample. |
