Product Name Mouse Platelet Derived Growth Factor (PDGF) ELISA Kit
Catalog No. PAK-HMM-0044
Description Platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) is one of many growth factors that regulate cell growth and division. In particular, PDGF plays an important role in blood vessel formation, growth of blood vessels from pre-existing vascular tissue, mitosis (i.e., proliferation) of mesenchymal cells (e.g., fibroblasts, osteoblasts, tenocytes, vascular smooth muscle cells, and mesenchymal stem cells), and mesenchymal cell chemotaxis (directed migration). Platelet-derived growth factor is a dimeric glycoprotein that can consist of two A subunits (PDGF-AA), two B subunits (PDGF-BB), or one of each (PDGF-AB).
Test Species Mouse
Synonyms PDGF
Applications This kit detects PDGF in mice without significant cross-reactivity with its analogs.
Sample Type Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids.
Detection Methods Sandwich ELISA
Sensitivity 0.06 ng/mL
Detection Range 0.15-10 ng/mL
Accuracy The intraplate coefficient of variation is less than 10% and the interplate coefficient of variation is less than 10%.
Storage 2-8°C
Shelf Life 6 months
Detection Principle This kit is a double antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). To the microtiter wells pre-coated with mouse platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) capture antibody, the sample, standard, biotin-labeled detection antibody and HRP enzyme conjugate are added sequentially, and then incubated and washed, and then the substrate TMB is used to develop the color, which is converted into blue color catalyzed by HRP enzyme, and then converted into yellow color under the effect of acid. There is a positive correlation between the color and the amount of mouse platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) in the sample. The absorbance (OD) is measured at 450nm by an enzyme marker to calculate the concentration of the sample.
