Members of the thromboxane family are adhesive glycoproteins that mediate cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions. The protein forms a pentamer that binds heparin and calcium. The protein may be involved in local signaling in the developing and adult nervous system, in bone formation and fracture healing, and in osteoarthritis. |

| Detection Principle | The kit is based on enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) using double antibody sandwich method. To the microtiter wells pre-coated with human platelet reactive protein 4 (THBS4) capture antibody, the sample, standard, biotin-labeled detection antibody, HRP enzyme conjugate are added sequentially, with warming and washing in the middle, and then the color is developed with the substrate TMB, which is converted to blue color catalyzed by the enzyme peroxidase (HRP), and then converted to the final yellow color under the action of acid. The shade of color is positively correlated with human platelet reactive protein 4 (THBS4) in the sample. The absorbance (OD value) is measured at 450nm wavelength with an enzyme marker to calculate the concentration of the sample. |
