Product Name Human Platelet Factor 4 (PF-4;CXCL4) ELISA Kit
Catalog No. PAK-HMM-0009
Description Platelet factor 4 (PF4) is a specific protein synthesized from platelet alpha granules and is a tetramer of basic polypeptides. PF4 is a basic peptide tetramer that easily binds and neutralizes heparin, and easily binds to acetylheparin sulfate on the surface of vascular endothelial cells to slow down the process of thrombin inactivation, thus promoting thrombosis. It is a small cytokine belonging to the CXC chemokine family, also known as chemokine ligand 4. During platelet aggregation, this chemokine is released from the alpha granules of activated platelets and promotes blood coagulation by modulating the action of heparin-like molecules.
Test Species Human
Synonyms CXCL4; SCYB4; Chemokine C-X-C-Motif Ligand 4; Oncostatin-A; Iroplact
Applications The kit detects human PF-4;CXCL4 in samples without significant cross-reactivity with its analogs.
Sample Type Serum, plasma and cell culture supernatants.
Detection Methods Sandwich ELISA
Sensitivity 2.88 ng/mL
Detection Range 6.25-400 ng/mL
Accuracy The intraplate coefficient of variation is less than 10% and the interplate coefficient of variation is less than 10%.
Storage 2-8°C
Shelf Life 6 months
Detection Principle This kit is a double antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). To the microtiter wells pre-coated with human platelet factor 4 (PF-4; CXCL4) capture antibody, the sample, standard, biotin-labeled detection antibody, HRP enzyme conjugate are added sequentially, and then incubated and washed, and then the color is developed with the substrate TMB, which is catalyzed by peroxidase (HRP) to blue, and then converted into the final yellow color under the effect of acid. The shade of color is positively correlated with human platelet factor 4 (PF-4; CXCL4) in the sample. The absorbance (OD value) is measured at 450 nm with an enzyme marker to calculate the sample concentration.
