Description Platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) is one of many growth factors that regulate cell growth and division. In particular, PDGF plays an important role in blood vessel formation, growth of blood vessels from pre-existing vascular tissue, mitosis (i.e., proliferation) of mesenchymal cells (e.g., fibroblasts, osteoblasts, tenocytes, vascular smooth muscle cells, and mesenchymal stem cells), and chemotaxis (directed migration) of mesenchymal cells.

Detection Principle The kit is based on enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) using double-antibody sandwich method. To the microtiter wells pre-coated with human platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) capture antibody, the sample, standard, biotin-labeled detection antibody, HRP enzyme conjugate are added sequentially, and then warmed and washed, and then the color is developed with the substrate TMB, which is converted to blue color catalyzed by the enzyme peroxidase (HRP), and then converted to the final yellow color under the action of acid. The color shade is positively correlated with the human platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) in the sample. The absorbance (OD value) is measured at 450 nm with an enzyme marker to calculate the sample concentration.
