Product Name Human Platelet Derived Growth Factor Subunit B (PDGFB) ELISA Kit
Catalog No. PAK-HMM-0023
Description Platelet-derived growth factor B (PDGFB) is a protein that is encoded by the PDGFB gene. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the platelet-derived growth factor family. Four members of this family are mitogenic factors of mesenchymal stromal cells and are characterized by a pattern of eight cysteines. The gene product can exist as a homodimer (PDGF-BB) or as a heterodimer with the platelet-derived growth factor alpha (PDGFA) polypeptide (PDGF-AB), where the dimers are linked by disulfide bonds.
Test Species Human
Synonyms PDGF-B; PDGF2; SIS; SSV; C-sis; Simian Sarcoma Viral(v-sis)Oncogene Homolog; Platelet Derived Growth Factor Beta Polypeptide; Proto-oncogene c-Sis; Becaplermin
Applications The kit detects human PDGFB in samples without significant cross-reactivity with its analogs.
Sample Type Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids.
Detection Methods Sandwich ELISA
Sensitivity 11.32 pg/mL
Detection Range 31.25-2000 pg/mL
Accuracy The intraplate coefficient of variation is less than 10% and the interplate coefficient of variation is less than 10%.
Storage 2-8°C
Shelf Life 6 months
Detection Principle The kit is based on enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) using double antibody sandwich method. To the microtiter wells pre-coated with human platelet-derived growth factor B (PDGFB) capture antibody, the sample, standard, biotin-labeled detection antibody, HRP enzyme conjugate are added sequentially, with warming and washing in between, and then the color is developed with the substrate TMB, which is converted to blue color catalyzed by the enzyme peroxidase (HRP), and then converted to the final yellow color under the action of acid. The shade of color is positively correlated with human platelet-derived growth factor B (PDGFB) in the sample. The absorbance (OD value) is measured at 450nm wavelength with an enzyme marker to calculate the sample concentration.
