Product Name Human Platelet Derived Growth Factor BB (PDGF BB) ELISA Kit
Catalog No. PAK-HMM-0017
Description Platelet-derived growth factor BB (PDGF-BB) is the more widely researched isoform in skeletal cells. PDGF-BB produced by activated platelets and macrophages is the only factor that has been shown to date to selectively and directly promote tonotropic switching. Treatment of VSMCs with PDGF-BB has been shown to be associated with rapid downregulation of a variety of differentiation marker genes.PDGF stimulates VSMC proliferation and migration. The role of the PDGF receptor has been described in a post-injury model.PDGF also indirectly induces the synthesis of other growth factors such as EGF and FGF-2, which in turn causes longer-term activation.
Test Species Human
Synonyms PDGF-BB
Applications The kit detects human PDGF-BB in samples without significant cross-reactivity with its analogs.
Sample Type Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids.
Detection Methods Sandwich ELISA
Sensitivity 0.158 ng/mL
Detection Range 0.312-20 ng/mL
Accuracy The intraplate coefficient of variation is less than 10% and the interplate coefficient of variation is less than 10%.
Storage 2-8°C
Shelf Life 6 months
Detection Principle The kit is based on double antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). To the microtiter wells pre-coated with human platelet-derived growth factor BB (PDGF-BB) capture antibody, the sample, standard, biotin-labeled detection antibody, HRP enzyme conjugate are added sequentially, with warming and washing in between, and then the color is developed with the substrate TMB, which is converted to blue color catalyzed by the peroxidase enzyme (HRP), and then converted to the final yellow color under the action of acid. The shade of color is positively correlated with human platelet-derived growth factor BB (PDGF-BB) in the sample. The absorbance (OD value) is measured at 450nm wavelength with an enzyme marker to calculate the concentration of the sample.
