| Product Name | Human Plakophilin 1 (PKP1) ELISA Kit |
| Catalog No. | PAK-HMM-0005 |
| Description | Platelet affinity protein 1 (PKP1) is a protein that is encoded by the PKP1 gene . It is a member of the armadillo (armadillo) repeat and eosinophil gene family.Plakophilin proteins contain a large number of armadillo repeat sequences localized to the cellular desmosomes and nucleus and are involved in linking cadherins to intermediate filaments in the cytoskeleton. The protein may be involved in molecular recruitment and stabilization during desmosomal formation. Mutations in this gene have been associated with ectodermal dysplasia/skin fragility syndrome.PKP1 has been shown to interact with Desmoplakin. |
| Test Species | Human |
| Synonyms | B6P; Ectodermal Dysplasia/Skin Fragility Syndrome |
| Applications | The kit detects human pkp1 in samples without significant cross-reactivity with its analogs. |
| Sample Type | Tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. |
| Detection Methods | Sandwich ELISA |
| Sensitivity | 0.155 ng/mL |
| Detection Range | 0.312-20 ng/mL |
| Accuracy | The intraplate coefficient of variation is less than 10% and the interplate coefficient of variation is less than 10%. |
| Storage | 2-8°C |
| Shelf Life | 6 months |
| Detection Principle | The kit is based on enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) using double antibody sandwich method. To the microtiter wells pre-coated with human platelet affinity protein 1 (PKP1) capture antibody, add the sample, standard, biotin-labeled detection antibody, HRP enzyme conjugate sequentially, with warming and washing in the middle, and then develop the color with the substrate TMB, which is converted to blue by peroxidase (HRP) and converted to the final yellow color under the action of acid. The shade of color is positively correlated with human platelet affinity protein 1 (PKP1) in the sample. The absorbance (OD value) is measured at 450nm wavelength with an enzyme marker to calculate the sample concentration. |
