| Description | Glycoprotein IX (platelet) (GP9) is also known as CD42a (cluster of differentiation 42a). It forms a 1-to-1 noncovalent complex with glycoprotein Ib (GP Ib), a platelet surface membrane glycoprotein complex that functions as a receptor for von Willebrand factor (known as the glycoprotein Ib-IX-V receptor complex). The main part of the receptor is a heterodimer consisting of 2 polypeptide chains, an alpha chain and a beta chain, which are linked by disulfide bonds. |

| Detection Principle | The kit is based on double antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). To the microtiter wells pre-coated with human platelet glycoprotein IX (GP9; CD42α) capture antibody, the sample, standard, biotin-labeled detection antibody, HRP enzyme conjugate are added sequentially, and then incubated and washed, and then the color is developed with the substrate TMB, which is catalyzed by peroxidase (HRP) to blue, and then converted to the final yellow color under the effect of acid. The shade of color is positively correlated with human platelet glycoprotein IX (GP9; CD42α) in the sample. The absorbance (OD value) is measured at 450 nm with an enzyme marker to calculate the sample concentration. |
