| Product Name | UniPhi29 DNA Polymerase, 42°C Reaction Mutant (10 U/uL) |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0574 |
| Description | An engineered mutant of wild type phi29 DNA polymerase from a Bacillus subtilis phage, UniPhi29 sustains DNA synthesis continuously at 42°C, a reaction characteristic that markedly improves assay performance. The enzyme keeps the strong 3 prime to 5 prime exonuclease proofreading activity of the parent enzyme for high fidelity synthesis, and because of that activity primers need a 3 prime end phosphorothioate modification to reduce primer cutting by the exonuclease. Applications include whole genome amplification, multiple displacement amplification and rolling circle amplification with improved yield and efficiency and reduced non-specific amplification, plus NGS library workflows where coverage uniformity rises, the required sequencing depth falls and gap regions shrink, and single cell sequencing with better data quality and completeness. |
